Creating Inclusive Workplaces: How LMF Network Supported Steady’s 80 Employees

Steady wanted to be seen as the “go-to” remote employer in independent publishing and internally wanted to foster a culture of inclusion. They wanted to understand their current inclusion initiatives and implement new policies to ensure equity in hiring, promotion, and community efforts.


That is why we offered a 3-month programme consisting of 3 strategic reviews with recommendations presented to leadership, 6 training workshops for all staff members, 121 focused calls, and initiation to a shared Slack channel to encourage communication.

What were the results with Steady?


  • Supported Steady in hiring and onboarding their 1st female COO.

  • Achieved training feedback of “98% or above” when asked about content, engagement, and increased confidence about diversity & inclusion topics.

  • Conducted 3 internal strategic reviews on their focus areas: diversity & inclusion, inclusive hiring, and community & belonging

  • Trained all 80+ staff members with 3 pieces of training and deep-dive sessions remotely via Zoom

  • Delivered a 100+ page recommendations report to leadership with clear, actionable steps to implement within the business
